Mr ALBERT GIGLIO, BA (Lond.) and Miss ROSE GAUCI

The marriage between ALBERT and ROSE took place on October 1, 1961 at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema. Thanks to the Lord for all that you have given us, especially the wonderful gift of our children, Joseph, Maria Pia and Paul and their respective spouses, Jeannine, John and Alison, and four precious grandchildren, Michaela, Mattea, Rebekah, Rachel, Giacomo, Giorgia and Eva.

Obituary

FORMOSA. On September 30, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, GIULIA née Fenech, of Valletta, residing in Attard, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She is deeply mourned by her beloved husband Louis, her son, Fr Provincial Paul Formosa, SDB, her daughter Dorianne and her husband Dr George Bugeja, her grandchildren Karen, Luke and Michelle, her sisters and brothers, Margaret and her husband Vincent Valletta, Mary and her husband Saviour Vella, Frank and his wife Grace and Alfred and his wife Mary, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre today at 1.30 p.m. for St Gregory parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, and the Salesians of Don Bosco, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MINTOFF. On September 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTHONY of Valletta (ex-Malta Police 484 and ex-barman, NSTS, Valletta), aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, his children Joe and his wife Phyllis, Frans and his wife Mary, Maryrose and her husband Louis, Raymond and his wife Marisa, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brothers, sisters and their families, his in-law Josephine, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St Paul Shipwrecked parish church, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

You were a living example of energy, intelligence and courage and never lacked in endowing me with so much respect and love. I shall always treasure these memories with joy and peace in my heart. Films At Jesuit Centre

Next Friday, at 7.30 p.m., the Jesuit Centre for Ignatian Spirituality will be screening Of Gods And Men, the first in a series of monthly films, at Mount St Joseph Retreat House, Tarġa Gap, Mosta. Attendance is free of charge and all are invited.

Major Water Cut In The South

The Water Services Corporation has notified consumers in the south of Malta that the water supply will be suspended for 18 hours on Tuesday from 7 a.m. due to major works related to the reconstruction of Triq il-Kunsill ta’ L-Ewropa, Luqa. The cuts will affect Vittoriosa, Cospicua, Bulebel, Fgura, Senglea, Kalkara, Luqa, Marsascala, Paola, Sta Luċija, Smart City, Xgħajra and Żabbar.
