Latvia manager Aleksandrs Starkovs yesterday named a 20-man squad for the Euro 2012 Group F games, at home to Malta on October 7 in Riga, and away to Croatia on October 11 in Rijeka.
Latvia are approaching their final two qualifiers in high spirits after gaining four points from their last outings, a 1-0 away win over Georgia and 1-1 home draw against Greece.
Malta also received a boost ahead of the trip to Latvia after holding Georgia to a 1-1 draw for their first point in Group F.
After the game against Latvia, Malta host Israel on October 11.
