Man hit by car in Marsa

A Maltese man was injured this afternoon when he was hit by a car near the governemnt printing press in Marsa.

The incident happened at about 2.30 p.m. as the man was crossing the road.

He was hit by a white Fiat Panda and taken to hospital in an ambulance. His medical condition is still being assessed.

maybe because he is infact a Maltese man? simply means a Maltese national if that is so difficult for you to understand.

Why did you state that he was a man? why did you state that he was in fact hit by a car? why did you state that the car was a fiat panda? why did you state that the accident happened in marsa? come anthony, they try to give you as much info as possible, thats why you read the news.

There have been comments that it was mentioned when the victim was a foreigner, but not when s/he was Maltese. Presumably, the people of the Times got tired of reading the same kind of comment over and over, and just for completeness sake mentioned the victim's nationality, since there are quite a few foreigners in this country (me included).
