Since a small group of young persons declared that they are leaving the Catholic Church, some letters have been printed in The Times and probably elsewhere… Why? Why is all this fuss being made?

When they were born their parents thought of doing the best for them, so that when they grew up they would be members of the Catholic Church. Well, they have grown up now and all are wearing long trousers and therefore are free to decide the way they want to live.

Now they have decided, and with what to me seems like a show of bluff too. But it is not the end of the world, neither the end of the Catholic Church. The founder of this Church, Jesus Christ once told His disciples: “You can go too”. Christ was never after quantity but the quality.
