The door of a veterinary clinic in Mosta was destroyed by fire early this morning. A car parked close by was damaged.
The police said they were alerted to the blaze, in Grognet Street, at about 5.30 a.m. The flames were put out by a policeman using a fire extinguisher.
A Vauxhall parked near by was damaged by the heat from the fire.
The clinic's door was destroyed and some damage was also caused to the building. No one was injured.
Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera is holding an inquiry. Police investigations are underway.
