Today is the last day of a three-day programme of activities being held in Marsascala.
Entitled Iljieli Skalin, the festival has as its theme the origin and the use of the salt pans in Marsascala and St Thomas Tower built by the Knights of St John.
Today’s activities, held in front of St Thomas Tower, will include a Power Point presentation on the salt pans, folk singing and dancing, a dance performance byvarious dancing schools and a re-enactment featuring the building of St Thomas Tower.
There will be various exhibitions in the tower, including old fishing tackle lent by Din l-Art Ħelwa, information on St Thomas Bay, the use of salt and the restoration of the salt pans in Burmarrad.
St Anne’s Band will also take part.
There will be various stalls selling traditional food.
