Four arrested after drug finds

Four persons have been arrested after drug finds in Marsascala,  Blata l-Bajda and Sliema, the police said.

The first discovery was made in an apartment in Marsascala yesterday afternoon. The police said its officers found two mature cannabis plants with some 200 grams of cannabis leaf as well as a small amount of cannabis resin. A 31-year-old man who lives in the apartment was arrested.

The police also arrested a man and a woman at Blata l-Bajda Park and Ride after they were noticed taking drugs during the night.  The woman is a 34-year-old from Cospicua and the man, 23, is from Valletta.   

A 52-year-old man was arrested in Sliema this morning after a search in his residence. A considerable amount of methadone was found in his fridge. Other items related to drug abuse as well as a small amount of heroin, were also found.
