I agree with what Kenneth Abela wrote in his contribution More Staff Needed At Maltapost Outlets (September 20) in which he voiced his negative experiences with Naxxar and Qormi Maltapost outlets where he had to wait for an hour.

The Mosta outlet is very much the same. There are usually two employees to meet customers’ needs (unless either of them is on leave). But, the amount of people queuing daily to pay bills for telephone and water and electricity makes waiting time longer than necessary for customers who go to Maltapost outlets for their postal requirements.

This is not the first time that I have complained through The Times. To be exact, I never suggested an increase in staff. I only suggested that Maltapost should indicate specific hours in which payment of bills and any other service it offers outside its postal sphere, could be effected, for example from 10 a.m. onwards. This will minimise waiting time for those who go to Maltapost outlets for their postal needs.

However, it seems that to date suggestions fell on deaf ears.It clearly shows that Maltapost is insensitive to customers’ legitimate complaints and seems happy to have long queues of people waiting and fuming for precious time lost.
