Obituary
BORG NICOLAS. On September 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, VICTOR, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Marguerite, née Nicolas Virtù, his children Damian, Martin and Julia and Andrew and Katya, his grandchildren Kurt, Kirsten, Steven, Kim, Kyle, Kristian and Nina, his brothers and sisters, Joe and his wife Agnes, Anthony and his wife Antoinette, Lina and her husband Aldo Portelli, Licia, Doris, Jane and her husband William Shaw, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for the Carmelite parish church, Balluta, St Julians, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
SCERRI TAYLOR. On September 21, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, MARY, née Paris, aged 89, widow of Emanuel, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children George and his wife Stella, Herman and his wife Maryann, Mona widow of Charlie Degiorgio, Louise widow of Vince Ciantar, Margaret and her husband Edward Abela, her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for St Publius parish church, Floriana where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

Erardi symposium
The Alessio Erardi paintings on the Our Lady of Victories church in Valletta will be at the heart of a symposium being held on Wednesday, organised by Din l-Art Ħelwa and the Courtauld Institute of Art.
The symposium will be held at the Judge Caruana Curran Hall at DLĦ’s offices in 133, Melita Street, Valletta and will start at 1.45 p.m.

Roadworks in Cospicua, Vittoriosa
Certain roads will be closed in Cospicua and Vittoriosa due to scarifying and resurfacing works from 9 a.m. tomorrow, Transport Malta said.
Triq il-Kottonera, from corner with Triq San Dwardu to corner with Triq il-Ġublew tal-Fidda, will be closed.
Vehicular traffic from Triq San Nikola will be diverted to Triq il-Ġublew tal-Fidda, Triq San Dwardu and Triq il-Kottonera.
Traffic from Triq il-Kottonera will be diverted to Triq San Dwardu and Triq Santa Tereża and Ix-Xatt ta’ Bormla.
Traffic from Triq Santa Tereża will be diverted to Triq San Dwardu and Triq Il-Kottonera.
Residents will be permitted access to their residences, TM said.
