GULIA. On September 19, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, the Noble MARY, née Borg Carbott, aged 100, widow of Joseph, residing at Casa Antonia, Balzan, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She is deeply mourned by her children Maria, widow of Carmel Micallef, Phyllis and her husband Joseph Cassar Naudi, Doris and her husband Joe Attard, Wilhelmina and her husband Tony Sammut, Georgina and her husband Philip Grima, Joe and his wife Evelyn, and Carmen and her husband Graham Ayers, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nephews and nieces. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital today for Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m., followed by interment. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. May she rest in peace.

VIDAL. On September 16, CARMELO, of Sliema, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 48. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary-Rose, his daughter Abigail and her fiancé Salah, his father Joseph, his brother Manuel and his wife Josette, his nieces Yanika and Kyle, in-laws, uncles and aunts, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Our Lady of Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

In loving memory of MICHAEL VINCENT on the 15th anniversary of his passing on to eternal life, and of his wife NINA, who joined him four years ago. Beloved in life and cherished in death by their children Vicky and her husband Walter Spiteri, Vincent and his wife Rachelle, née Camilleri, Dolores and her husband Victor Cristina, their son-in-law Charles Mercieca, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Traffic Diversion In Paola

Due to scarifying and resurfacing works, Kordin Hill, in Paola, will be closed to traffic from 7 p.m. tonight until 5.30 a.m. tomorrow.

Traffic from Sir Paul Boffa Avenue (off Malta Shipbuilding) will be diverted to Paola Hill, Valletta Road and Cospicua Road/Roundabout Junction at Għajn Dwieli Road.

Traffic from April 28 Avenue/Roundabout Junction at Għajn Dwieli Road will be diverted to Cospicua Road, A. de Paule Square, Valletta Road and Paola Hill.

Volunteering Conference

A conference entitled Strengthening and Encouraging Volunteering – Reaching out to a Wider Society is being organised by The National Council of Women, the Commission on Domestic Violence, Nature Trust Malta and the National Youth Council. It will be held on Friday between 8.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. at The Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana. Participation is free.
