Update 2: Man shot with air rifle in Naxxar
An 18-year-old man from Naxxar has been admitted to Mater Dei Hospital suffering from grievous injuries after he was hit by an air rifle pellet in his shoulder at a private residence in Triq it-Telekomunikazzjoni, Naxxar. The incident happened at around 6.30 p.m.
The police said the man was first taken to the Mosta Health Centre but was then transferred to Mater Dei Hospital for more specialised care.
The victim was allegedly hit by a pellet shot by a 16-year-old boy from Siggiewi.
An inquiry is being held.
