Carriage of dangerous cargo

Transport Malta will next month hold a training course for drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous cargo.

The class 1 (explosives) training course would provide drivers with the required skills to transport dangerous goods, including fireworks, safely, the transport regulator said.

The fee is €75 and should be paid at the Transport Malta offices in Sa Maison by September 30. The course will be held on October 18 and 19.

Only holders of a valid dangerous goods driver training certificate will be allowed to attend the course. Those requiring the certificate can attend a course organised by the Employment and Training Corporation on September 26. Applications for the course at the ETC offices close on September 23.
