Ukrainian Spirit in new venture

The Ukrainian Spirit team are taking up a new challenge.

The Ukrainian Spirit team are taking up a new challenge.

Ukrainian powerboat racing team owner Victor Shemchuk and Maltese boat-builder and driver Aaron Ciantar have strengthened their affiliation by agreeing to extend their team association by another year.

This winning team tasted glory in season 2009, their first P1 Championship challenge where, with Seagull Chaudron, a 13-metre boat with twin 525hp inboard engines, they won the SuperSport Class Championship.

In 2010, Shemchuk ordered another Chaudron-built 13-metre powerboat with twin inboard 750hp engines and moved over to the Evolution Class.

The project was Ukrainian Spirit where Shemchuk, as navigator, and Ciantar as driver, had quite an interesting but rollercoaster season.

Today, equipped with greater experience, team Ukrainian Spirit plan to venture outside the Mediterranean and Europe to test their driving ability and powerful machine in super boat racing in America.
