ASCIAK. On September 16, at Karin Grech Hospital, DOMINIC, of Valletta residing at Rabat, aged 84, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen née Tonna, his children Denis and his wife Miriam, Kevin and his wife Doreen, Roderick and his wife Marika, Clive and his wife Stephanie, his grandchildren Lisa and Mark, Karl and Kirstie, Gareth and Hayley, Julian and Matthew, his wife’s brothers and sisters, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St Paul’s collegiate church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. ATTARD. On September 14, at Boffa Hospital, DENISE of Sliema, aged 61, left this world to meet the Lord to receive her just reward of eternal bliss. She leaves to mourn her great loss her mother Marie Louise, her sisters Marceline and her husband Chris Dandridge, Josette and her husband Paolo Morelli, Monique and her husband Alfred Gauci, Yvonne, widow of James Blair, Anette and her husband David Bonnici, her brothers, Godfrey and his wife Antoinette, and Michel, also her nephews and great nephews, nieces and great nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment in the family chapel at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, however donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

On September 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, MICHAEL (Mike), former Lieutenant 1st Battalion KOMR, of Rabat, living at Ta’ Xbiex, widower of his beloved Jean (née Axisa), aged 91, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He is deeply missed by his daughter Vicki and her husband Saviour Curmi, his son Alex and his wife Connie, his grandchildren Michael, Anthony and his wife Victoria, Janet and Rachel and John, his great-grandchildren Samantha and Nathan, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.45 a.m. for Ta’ Xbiex parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. BUGEJA. On September 8, CHARLES of Floriana, residing in Canada, aged 80, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mae, his daughter Bonnie and his grandson Bradley, his brothers Joe and his wife Candida, Manuel and his wife Annie, Alfred and his wife Theresa, his sisters Maria and her husband George Lewis, Doris and her husband Joe Stafrace, Pauline and her husband Joe Vassallo of USA, Crocy and her husband Lino Vella Clark, and Doris, widow of his brother Publius, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral was held in Canada. A memorial Mass will be said on September 21 at 6.30 p.m. at St Publius parish church, Floriana. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, are appreciated.
CRISTINA. In loving memory of FREDDIE, formerly of Ħamrun, residing in England, who went to meet the Risen Lord on September 10, 2011, aged 73. Loved and remembered by his beloved and devoted wife Valerie and son Mitchell, his brothers, sisters and their families, his in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. FENECH. On September 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, JANE, aged 77, widow of her treasured husband Nonie, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her beloved only daughter Carmen and her husband Franco Galea, her one and only adored grandson Luciano and his girlfriend Lydia Portelli, her niece Lydia Vassallo and her nephew Tonio Mizzi and their families, cousins, other relatives and friends. MERCIECA. On September 16, in Brazil, FR CARMEL MERCIECA, of Qormi, aged 74, (missionary in Brazil for the past 50 years), passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brothers and sister Fr Paul (missionary in Brazil), Anthony and Saviour and his wife Mary Anne, and Sr Maria of St Catherine Monastery, Valletta, nephews and nieces other relatives and friends. MUSCAT. On September 17, VINCENT, aged 68, passed peacefully away surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Vivienne née Decelis, his children Antoinette, John and his wife Tonella, Eleanor, his grandchildren Thomas, Daniel and Krista, his sister Mary and other relatives and friends.
