Yet another tower crane set up in Sliema

A massive concrete platform stretching from one pavement to the other is now in place in Sir Arturo Mercieca Street, Sliema, almost corner with Windsor Terrace – a base for yet another tower crane.

Why hasn’t a traffic sign been placed at the corners of Sir Arturo Mercieca and Howard Streets informing drivers of the obstruction? This has resulted in many drivers having to reverse for quite a stretch. And, just to add to the ‘fun’, another concrete platform for yet another tower crane is now in place in the adjacent Don Rua Street.

We have only one Tower Roat but too many tower cranes.
