Boats, cars and class

Seasoned mariners and anyone with a passion for yachts, boats and all things maritime can feast their eyes on a wide range of sea craft at the Bank of Valletta Boat Show 2011 over the weekend.

The event, being held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Floriana, is considered to be the largest gathering for boating enthusiasts, dealers and anyone with an interest in seafaring.

Large, self-built stands promoting a wide range of small and medium-sized boats, engines, water sports equipment and luxury products are on display. Among the main attractions are the Atlantis 48-foot, hard-top cabin cruiser and a range of Fairline Squadron and Jeanneau yachts.

Land lovers with a penchant for fast cars are also being catered for, with the new Ferrari FFS and two Maserati cars on show.

Fashion shows, live shows and entertainment will also take place every night.

The event is open to the public today and tomorrow.
