PACE. On September 14, at his residence in Gżira, PIERRE (ex-director within the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs), aged 54, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Nathalie, née Micallef Somerville, his son Jean-Pierre and his daughter Gabrielle, his mother Margaret, his brothers and sister, Adrian and his wife Miriam, Therese and her husband Manuel, and Kevin, his in-laws Paul and his wife Sophie, Joseph and his wife Anna, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 8.30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta. The family would like to ex­press their appreciation to their GP, and doctors and staff at Mater Dei Hospital for their support and dedication.

ZAMMIT. On September 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOYCE of Rabat, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marcette and her husband Joe Vella, Norman and his wife Rita, Annina and her husband Kevin Smith, Joslyn and her husband Mario Zammit, John and his wife Ruth, her grandchildren, her brothers and sisters Doris, widow of Aronne Borg, Paul Camilleri and his wife Lydia, Minnie and her husband Alfred Tonna, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 2.30 p.m. on Monday for St Dominic church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at St Margaret Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest

De Michelis talk

Former Italian Foreign Minister Gianni de Michelis will be the keynote speaker at a commemorative event honouring President Emeritus Guido de Marco on September 30 at 6 p.m. at AŻAD offices in Casa Pereira, 228, Republic Street, Valletta.

Bingo night
