Lija mayor Ian Castaldi Paris resigns from PN post
Lija mayor Ian Castaldi Paris yesterday resigned from his post as president of the Nationalist Party’s College of Councillors, citing personal reasons.
In his letter of resignation, Dr Castaldi Paris, 33, said he decided to step down after reflecting on his work in the college “and for personal reasons”.
He could not be contacted yesterday for further comments. In November 2009, Dr Castaldi Paris unsuccessfully contested the election for the post of PN president, a post he lost to Paula Mifsud Bonnici. He had garnered 33 per cent of votes.
Pierre Portelli last week resigned from his office of president of the PN administrative council. Mr Portelli said he had accepted a job that required him to choose between being heavily involved in politics and his communications career.

Excuses, excuses, excuses...!
Some come out and say why they leave the party and others just beat about the bush!
Talent is now becoming even more limited for Dr. Gonzi NOW even in the Gonzipn Party administration , not only in Ministerial choices !
