On Thursday, September 8, I had the luck to follow the feast of our Lady Of Victories on the television, which kept me in front of the screen from 9 a.m. to about 1 p.m.

The whole transmission was very good and it had a bit of everything. I really enjoyed it. But the part I liked most was the message by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech.

He spoke to his congregation, the viewers and listeners about the beauty of life.

I really admired the way he touched on all aspects of life and how he mentioned them one by one.

He included everyone in his message and showed how to appreciate the nice things in life. He made it a point to keep away from the ugly things of life that are generally all sinful.

What I appreciated most in his speech was that he was talking to us in a gentle low voice and not barking. There were no repetitions and he was well prepared. He even had a good word for the priests and told them to do their best to make Sunday Mass a Eucharistic celebration with the help of the congregation. I hope they will take his advice and follow his example.

I end by congratulating Mgr Grech for his part in this feast, all the people involved in organising it and the television station, One TV, that transmitted it.
