Two men were this morning placed on three years probation after they admitted to  buying mobile phones. A boy was jailed for eight months, suspended for two years for stealing three mobile phones.

Nigerian John Chibuzor Bolenus, 22, who lives in Gzira and Ethiopian Muhiddin Ahmed Ibro, 26, admitted to buying two stolen iPhone 4's.

In a separate hearing, a 16-year-old boy from Mosta admitted to stealing three mobile phones and an i-Pod on July 26 from near the Mosta bocci club.

He also admitted to slightly injuring his victim, threatening to kill him and relapsing.

The two men who helped him steal the mobile phones Aaron Brydon, 18, and Matthew Borg, 19, both from Mosta, admitted to the same charges last week and were also put on probation.
