• Today, the Capuchin Friars of Victoria are celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Graces. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Pontifical High Mass at 9 a.m. A pilgrimage with the participation of motorcycles and bicycles will leave Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary at 11 a.m. On arrival at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces, Mgr Grech will bless all participants. At 6 p.m., Fr John Mejlaq will lead a concelebrated Mass, followed by the procession with the participation of the Leone Band and the Fjur t’Assisi choir.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be held today at 6.15 a.m., 8.30, 10, 11.15 and 5 p.m. At 6 p.m. there will be rosary, followed by Eucharistic benediction.

• ‘Memories From the Last World War – A Journey of Exhibitions Through Faith, History and Art’ is – open at Dar l-Imnarja, Pjazza 28 ta’ April 1688 in Nadur today from 9 a.m. till 11.30 a.m. and 6 till 8 p.m.

• ‘Gozo Through Time’, an exhibition of paintings by Joseph Engerer, is currently on show at the Banca Giuratale, Independence Square, Victoria. The exhibition is open between 8 a.m. and noon, Monday to Saturday, and 9 a.m. till noon on Sundays.

• The Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee, together with the Malta Environment and Planning Authority, will be holding a seminar on Malta’s actions in the fields of waste and noise management in Maltese at the Grand Hotel, Mġarr, on Tuesday at 9.30 a.m. Parliamentary Secretary Chris Said will open the seminar.

• Vivian Corporation will be hosting an awareness and educational campaign in Gozo about diabetes and the importance of regular blood glucose monitoring. The campaign will kick off with a one-day event at It-Tokk in Victoria on Wednesday and will continue for a week at all pharmacies in Gozo, which will be offering free blood glucose monitoring.

• Għajnsielem council is currently preparing a sustainable locality action plan. A public event to get the views of the local community on the subject in the form of an interactive exhibition and workshops, will be held at the Għajnsielem Band Club on Thursday between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

• Regulations and applications to participate in Carnival 2012 can be obtained from the Gozo Culture Office, Banca Giuratale, Independence Square, Victoria. Applications should be submitted by Friday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

• The 6th edition of the Qala International Folk Festival, with the participation of the Menhir Qala Folk Group, will take place between Thursday and Sunday.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will be holding a prayer evening at St Anthony the Abbott church, Xagħra, on Saturday at 8.30 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.

• ‘Heritage in Stone’, a collective art exhibition, is currently on display at the Gozo Ministry in Victoria. The exhibition, organised by the Housing Authority, is open between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday to Saturday, until September 30.

• Wirt Għawdex will be holding a lecture entitled ‘Archeology and Atlantis in Malta’ by Anton Mifsud at the Gozo Ministry on Friday at 6.30 p.m. Entrance to the lecture, conducted in English, is free and open to the public. Wirt Għawdex is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
