Oprah Winfrey got plenty of ‘likes’ on Facebook from fans who tuned in to watch a live online chat with the social networking site.

Ms Winfrey gave a one-hour interview to Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg at the company’s Palo Alto, California, headquarters.

It took place in front of Facebook employees who cheered and took photos when she walked out.

She covered a variety of topics saying life has not slowed down since wrapping up The Oprah Winfrey Show in May.

The focus now is to develop the OWN television network where she is the chairman, chief executive and chief creative officer.

Ms Winfrey joked that running a network is “a lot harder” than she ever thought.
