Obituary
BARTHET. On September 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, TESSIE, widow of Esprit, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her childre, Joe and his wife Connie, Odette and Paul Agius, Alfred and his wife Marlene, Mario and his wife Olivia, Dorienne and her husband John Pollacco, and Louise Barthet and Robert Bonello, her brother Eric and his wife Rose Marie, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception parish church, Tal-Ibraġ, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CASSAR. On September 8, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, STANISLAO k/a Sunny, of Sliema, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Assunta and Jane and her husband Raphael Blanco, his brother Nicholas, widower of Lina, his sisters-in-law Maggie, widow of George, Carmen, widow of Alfred, nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.45 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated.

FALZON – ANTONIA (Ninette). Today the 11th anniversary of her death. Fondly remembered by her husband Stephen, her children Claude and Aaron, her brothers and sisters. The 6.15 p.m. Mass said on September 12 at Ta’ Ġieżu church, Valletta, will be offered for the repose of her soul.
GAUCI – OLGA. Loving memories of a wonderful mother on the 13th anniversary of her death. Always in our thoughts and prayers. Phyllis, Neville, Tania, Paul and their families. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SULLIVAN – EDWIDGE. Lovingly remembered and so sadly missed on the 12th anniversary of her demise. Her husband Joe, children and in-laws Christine and Joe, Pat, Claire and John and their families. Dear Lord, grant her eternal rest.
St Paul’s Bay Residents’ Association
The founding meeting of the St Paul’s Bay Residents Association, which was scheduled to be held on September 18, has been postponed to October 2 at The Gillieru Harbour Hotel, St Paul’s Bay at 10 a.m. The residents of St Paul’s Bay, Xemxija, Buġibba, Qawra, Burmarrad and Wardija and all those with vested interests and who wish to see an improvement in the environment in the localities mentioned are encouraged to attend.
Blood donation
The mobile blood donation unit will be available for blood donation at Mtarfa, next to the Tower Clock, tomorrow, from 8.30 a.m. till 1 p.m.
