Obituaries
CASSAR. On September 8, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, STANISLAO k/a Sunny, of Sliema, aged 77, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Assunta, Nichola, Jane and her husband Raphael Blanco, Maggie widow of George, Carmen widow of Alfred, nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.45 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Resurrection Cemetery, Qormi. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated.
CAUCHI. On September 5, at St Catherine Home, Attard, MARIA CONCETTA (Tetty) née Spiteri aged 89, widow of Paul, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Pierre and wife Tonia, her daughters Maria, Anna and Andrew, Therese and Kailesh, her grandchildren Jean-Pierre, Sarah, Henri, Danielle, Mark, James, Lara, Paul and Andrew and their respective spouses and partners, her great-grandchildren, her sisters Sr Carmelina (FMM) and Sr Marie (SJA), nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Catherine Home today at 8.45 a.m. for St Mary parish church, Attard, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Dominican Community at St Catherine’s, particularly Sr Eustella and Sr Antoinette together with all the carers of the St Joseph Wing for the dedication and loving care they showed towards their mother. Thanks also go towards the residents who shared these last three years with her. No flowers by request but donations to St Joseph Home, Sta Venera would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

She leaves to mourn her loss her children Lorna and her husband Mark Callus, Etienne and his fiancée Sveta, her grandchildren Anthony, Bernard, Kelly and Alexander, her brothers, sister-in-law, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.15 p.m. for Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be appreciated.
MANGION – NITSA. On September 8, at Charella elderly home in Sliema, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Ramona and her partner Joe, Beba and her husband Mike, her son Kenneth and his wife Connie, grandchildren Nicholas, Mark, Julian and Kira, their wives and partners, great-grandchildren and all her family in Greece. The funeral leaves Charella home tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. for Our Lady of Damascus church in Valletta where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Diocesan Commission for Children would be very much appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
