Further to the letter by Victor Buttigieg, Direct Debit Should Not Be A Blank Cheque (August 5), I did raise this point with ARMS Ltd with regard to the two per cent discount that they are prepared to give to customers who pay by direct debit. As Mr Buttigieg pointed out, direct debit has its disadvantages!
So the next solution should be internet banking, which is safe, direct and customer-friendly. Can Go and Arms include internet banking as another option of paying bills apart from direct debit and still qualify its customers for the two per cent discount if paid within the 15-day time window?
