I refer to the letter Direct Debit Should Not Be A Blank Cheque (August 20), in which Victor Buttigieg refers to a direct debit mandate in favour of Go to cover his monthly communications bill.
Go assures readers that direct debit mandates are a very practical and convenient way to settle bills. However, in this case, there was an overlap of the actual billing date and the date the service expired – that the automated system did not cater for. As always, Go is grateful to the customer for taking a hands-on approach to the problem and for the very constructive suggestions put forward in his letter. Go is taking note of these proposals for implementation as part of the company’s ongoing drive to enhance its level of service.
Go took immediate measures to address objections put forward by our customer and a rep from Go’s customer centricity team was promptly in touch with Dr Buttigieg. The issue was discussed and reconciled to the customer’s satisfaction. We are in fact hoping to find a permanent solution in the very near future so that the subscriber can revert to the convenience of direct debit.
