The 2011-2012 opera and ballet season screened at the Eden cinemas will feature famous acts such as Faust, Tosca and Sleeping Beauty performed at well-known theatre houses like the Bolshoi Theatre and the Royal Opera House.
Tickets are priced at €23 including parking, and children under 16 pay €10.
The first screening is the grand opera Faust. Divided into five acts, the opera was written by Charles Gounod to a French libretto by Jules Barbier and Michel Carré from Carré's play Faust et Marguerite.
Esmeralda is a ballet in three acts, five scenes, inspired by Notre Dame de Paris by Victor Hugo, originally choreographed by Jules Perrot; with music by Cesare Pugni.
This full-length ballet by the Bolshoi is one of the few presentations of the ballet in its entirety. It is only presented in its full-length form in certain parts of the world; Russia; parts of Eastern Europe; and New Jersey, the US.
