Cable TV provider has women on its mind
Television company Go is screening Discovery channel TLC, an international channel aimed at women, instead of Travel & Living.
TLC is the flagship female-targeted channel broadcast by Discovery Networks and is now available on channel 503 on Go digital TV and on channel 303 on interactive TV. Go said TLC was launched with a programme schedule tailored for the local market and included new shows although the most popular programmes, including Cake Boss, Kate Plus 8, Say Yes to the Dress, What Not To Wear, Toddlers and Tiaras, would still feature.
Go said it was the first operator in Malta to launch TLC, aimed at women aged between 25 and 49, and broadcast the best lifestyle, reality and inspirational entertainment programmes from around the world.
Go’s product manager Michèle Dandria described TLC as “a way of life that guarantees top-notch entertainment with a special appeal for women of all ages”.

Let me see if I understand this right. When I signed up to use GO's services I was obliged to bind
myself for a 2 year period. I decided to do so based on the channel list at that time. However, GO can simply decide to remove channels and include others at will without even advising its customers Talk about consumer rights!

Totally agreed. One could have also included the other four " most popular" (?) titles. PURE RUBBISH!! Keep up the good work Michele !

Cay someone decide what priorities are needed in Malta?
We hear a lot about the need for women to go out to work, as if the work they do at home is not enough. Fair enough
But can someone tell us how could women go out to work and at the same time be at home watching TV?

Um...may be the GO people think women aged between 25 and 49 in Malta don't like travel and... living, but have all the time in the world to watch TV? :)
