Mahmoud Jibril, the prime minister of the Libyan provisional government, will be visiting Malta this evening and will have talks with Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.

Mr Jibril and Dr Gonzi also met yesterday in Paris at the Friends of Libya conference, where Dr Gonzi renewed Malta's support for the new Libyan government's priorities of security, reconciliation and the building of democratic institutions.

He also reiterated Malta's commitment to help in humanitarian aid flows to Libya.
