A 66-year-old woman from Siggiewi was critically injured today when she fell off the roof of her house in Siggiewi, the police said.
The woman fell a height of one storey at her house in St John Square.
She was rushed to hospital were her condition was found to be life threatening, but stable.
The incident happened shortly before Noon.
In the early afternoon, a 43-year-old man from Xewkija was critically injured when he fell a height of almost one storey at a building site in Sannat. His injuries are not life-threatening.
POLICE MOTORCYCLIST INJURED
The police also reported that a police motorcyclist was seriously injured when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Ford Escort this afternoon.
The incident happened at 1 p.m. in Tarxien Road, Gudja.
The motorcyclist, 35 from Birkirkara, is being treated in hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening.
The car was being driven by a 20-year-old man from Zejtun.
