Rubbish still abounds
My wife and I returned last week from our annual holiday visit to Malta which we always enjoy.
We were pleased to see the new buses in operation. But after many years we noted the footpaths are still in a poor state, as are the roads, and there is a total lack of street cleaning, in particular on the main promenade and streets of Sliema which always have bags of rubbish and overflowing waste bins.
Let’s hope matters will improve in future years as we still intend to keep visiting the island.

If you have been coming here for all these years you will know that hope is all you have as nothing will change -for we never learn and regard the cash-cow that is tourism as a bottomless bucket that never needs improving or taken care of in an accountable and appropriate manner, and the same can apply to the people of Malta's needs and requirements.
