Fuel prices will go down as from tomorrow, Enemalta has announced.

Unleaded petrol will cost €1.40 per litre from the current €1.43. Diesel and kerosene will cost €1.29 from the current €1.33.

The prices, Enemalta said, reflected the prices fetched for the latest shipments of fuel.

It pointed out that according to  the latest Oil Prices Bulletin, published by the European Commission, both petrol and diesel prices in Malta are ranked the 14th cheapest out of the other 27 European countries.

Consumer petrol and diesel prices in Malta are below the EU averages of €1.48/ltr and €1.35/ltr respectively.  The published prices are inclusive of duties and taxes, and reflect the prices in force as at 22nd August 2011.
