The president of Microsoft International, Jean-Philippe Courtois, will be in Malta on Friday to sign a partnership agreement with the government.
Mita, the government's IT agency, said the five-year strategic partnership features a number of key initiatives, including government licensing, licensing for schools, educational programmes and initiatives and the establishment of a Microsoft Innovation Centre in Malta that will be the first on a global scale to focus on Cloud Computing.
During his visit, Mr. Courtois will also be meeting executive partners from the local ICT industry.
As president of Microsoft International, Mr Courtois drives strategic planning, global operations and key growth initiatives in developed and emerging markets. He previously served as CEO and president of Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where he led business planning and sales, marketing and services.
