As from this year, six University of Malta students who are selected to participate in the exchange programme at Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia, will be eligible to receive an Australian government scholarship of AUD $5,000 each in addition to the grant provided by the University of Malta.

This year two University students selected to study at Victoria University will receive this scholarship. These students will start their stay in Victoria shortly. In the next call for applications, four students will be eligible for the scholarship.

During the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers international conference held earlier this year in Vancouver, Canada, Stefania Fabri, director of the University’s International and EU Office, and Marlene Debono, coordinator for Student International Exchange programmes met with Margaret Jackson, manager Victoria Abroad, Victoria University International, and worked out the necessary arrangements.

The University has been collaborating with Victoria University for several years. These scholarships will further boost interest from local students to take up an exchange opportunity at this Australian university.

The call for the Students International Exchange Programmes is issued every October for full-time University students. For details view www.um.edu.mt/int-eu/intexchanges.
