Artists have up to Thursday to apply to participate in this year’s Notte Bianca, the night-long celebration of culture and the arts in Valletta organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts.

Cultural venues, state palaces and museums open their doors almost all night, with many playing host to visual art exhibitions, dance and theatre performances.

Food artists and chefs are also being invited to show off their culinary skills in specifically designated catering areas that will be set up around Valletta. Interested chefs and food artists may set up their own gastronomic kitchen.

Artists and craftspersons may apply to participate in the open air art market during the night.

This market will provide a dedicated space that brings together all types of art forms and crafts, to create a one-of-a-kind open air shopping experience.

The market may feature a variety of works such as paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery, and jewellery.

It will be set up in an outdoor location in Valletta and will operate on October 1 from 5 p.m. to approximately 3 a.m.

The MCCA is inviting all artists and craftspersons to forward their expression of interest by Thursday to info@nottebiancamalta.com.

Further information may be obtained from the MCCA, 230, Republic Street, Valletta, between 9 a.m. and noon.
