Will the weighing scales at the Malta International Airport check-in desks be subject to this testing process?

Recently, I was witness to a weighing anomaly. Luggage was weighed at home on two different weighing scales. Then, wonder of wonders, on checking in for a flight, the MIA weighing scales indicated a reading of two kilogrammes higher!

How are the mighty airport authorities to be challenged if one is told his luggage is overweight?
