Libyan rebels conducted a search of the Corinthia Hotel Tripoli last night in following suspicion that Seif Gaddafi may be hiding there, but the search yielded no result.

International media footage showed the armed men searching rooms in the hotel's twin towers.

No Gaddafi regime officials were found,  but some of the rebels left the hotel carrying frames presumably of Col Gaddafi. (Up to some time ago offices were required by law to show pictures of Col Gaddafi)

Similar searches have been conducted in many parts of Tripoli.

The Corinthia, which is in a relatively quiet area of the city, is now hosting some 30 foreign journalists who were freed from the Rixos Hotel yesterday after having been held in a hostage situation by Gaddafi loyalists.
