Masterclass session by international guitarist

Guitar genius John Wheatcroft will be delivering a masterclass session at the Euro Institute of Music tomorrow.

Mr Wheatcroft is head of guitar at Tech Music School, London, one of the most highly-acclaimed music schools in Europe. An incredibly-talented guitarist, Mr Wheatcroft leads a busy life both as a performer and an educator. He has toured the world with both Carl Palmer (ELP) and John Jorgenson (Elton John/Hellecasters) and performed alongside artistes as diverse as Mike Stern (Miles Davis), Frank Gambale (Chic Corea) and Glen Hughes (Deep Purple). He is a regular contributor to Guitar Techniques, Guitarist and Guitar World (US) magazines and has just released his first book, Improvising Blues Guitar, via Schott Publishing.

Mr Wheatcroft currently fronts his own acoustic quintet exploring the music of Django Reinhardt, and is the musical director for Liverpool-based jazz/soul singer Thomas Lang.
