Qawra Scout Group holds annual camp in Sicily

The Qawra Scout Group chose Sicily as the destination for their annual summer camp.

The group, comprising some 26 scouts accompanied by leaders, stayed at a camp site in Alia outside Palermo. The group visited several cultural sites among which Caccamo Castle, Palermo catacombs, Le Gole dell’ Alcantara and Mount Etna. They also went on a boat trip to L’Isola delle Femmine.

However, the highlight of the camping trip was the two-day visit to Parc Avventura.

There, the scouts followed orienteering lessons and spent a whole day using high ropes.

Another highlight was a meeting with the Vicari scout group during which the scouts had the opportunity to mingle and exchange ideas.
