The newest projects in the realm of space and the latest achievements in both the Russian and the international armaments industry are showcased in the MAKS-2011 air show.

Held in the small science town of Zhukovskiy, in the Moscow region, the biennial Aviasalon, as it is known, does not only offer an update on what is happening in aviation and space technology but also displays by some of the best aerobatic teams in the world.

The programme of the 11th edition of the air show, which last year attracted about 650,000 visitors, include performances by four Russian aerobatic teams: the Russian Knights, the Strizhi, Russian Falcons and the Rus. There will be demonstration flights by aircraft from the US, France and Italy. The exhibits include Russian modern multipurpose fighters Su-35, MiG-35, Su-30 MK2 and the latest from the Russian civil aircraft industry: the Sukhoi superjet-100 aircraft.
