Gozo Creative Theatre Club’s double take

The Gozo Creative Theatre Club recently presented Unheard Melodies and Death Amid the Rich and Famous at the Aula Mgr G. Farrugia, St George’s Basilica, Victoria.

Unheard Melodies is a short play based on the relationship between Bernard Shaw and his wife, the story of a marriage with a rather strange arrangement. The roles of Julian Bernard and Evelyn Bernard were performed by George Camilleri and Marlene Saliba, while Julia Camilleri played Clara Shaw and George Sacco was George the Butler.

Death Amid the Rich and Famous by Norman Beim is a short play where a famous socialite/journalist must face up to the suicide of her young daughter. Mona Vandermeer was played by Mariella Cassar, while Sharona Refalo played Liz Cartwright.

Direction was in the hands of the club’s director George Mizzi.
