EC English Language Centres have been shortlisted in two categories of the prestigious Language Travel Magazine Star Awards.
The awards recognising excellence and achievement in the sector and finalists are selected by consultants, staff and specialists employed in the business from all over the world.
Since 2007, EC have been finalists seven times in different categories, winning the LTM Star Innovation of the Year Award in 2009 for their EC Malta Freestyle Programme and again in 2010 for their Club 30+ Programme.
This year, the group has been nominated for the LTM Star Award for Junior Course for Under-18s and the prestigious LTM Award for Chain School-Over 5 Centres.
Voting has now closed and the winners will be announced at an event at the London Hilton on Park Lane next month. This ceremony will be attended by several hundred personnel working in the industry, including stakeholders from around the world.
EC executive chairman Andrew Mangion said was delighted with the nominations.
“The LTM Star Awards acknowledge and honour innovation and endeavour within our sector.
“EC has a diverse range of courses that are continually adapted and developed, and over the past few years we have been nominated in a variety of categories, reflecting the quality of programmes that we offer across the board.”
EC’s international network has seen further expansion over the past few months with the opening of a new school in Bristol and a new building for its operation in Brighton. Later this year, a new US school will open in Miami with the company set for further growth in coming months.
EC currently operates 10 centres in the US, the UK and South Africa, as well as the original school in Malta.
