LifeCyclists leave Malta for Prague to embark on new challenge
The cyclists taking part in this year's Betfair LifeCycle challenge left Malta for Prague this morning, from where they will start a gruelling 2,000 kilometre ride to Sarajevo.
Those wishing them luck at the airport this morning included Sports parliamentary secretary Clyde Puli.
The cyclists will be going through seven countries cycling an average of 200 kilometres a day for 10 days.
As in previous years, the cyclists are raising money for the hospital's renal unit. Over the years, €1 million were raised by LifeCycle for the unit.
SMS donations can be made by texting 5061 7370 to donate €2.33; 5061 8920 for €6.99; and 5061 9229 to give €11.65. For landline donations call 5160 2020 to give €10; 5170 2005 for €15 and 5180 2006 for €25.

The sports secretary is abit late with his wishes of luck. they have trained hard so luck has nothing to do with it. The luck factor was needed while they trained in Malta so as not to get hit by cars. If Clyde Puli wants to help then he should study ways to make cycling fun in Malta.
