Getting to and from Gozo

It is now a fact that Gozo is attracting a lot more people, locals or tourists.

I noticed that the Gozo Channel Company has really improved its services and so have the deck personnel. What is really bothering me and many others is the long journey from Sliema to Ċirkewwa and back, either by car or public transport.

As Vincent Vassallo rightly said (August 6) it took one hour and 20 minutes to arrive in St Julians. The recent announcement that a boat service will soon start from the Valletta Waterfront to Mġarr, Gozo is an extremely wise decision.

Once again, I appeal to Gozo Channel to introduce the speedy catamaran at least three times daily.

One can understand that the fare will not be cheap but the fact that one can be in Gozo in under 30 minutes makes it all worthwhile.
