Hong Kong action film director Johnnie To’s new movie Life Without Principle about financial greed will wrap up the official selection for this year’s Venice film festival, organisers said.

The movie tells the story of three characters – a bank teller, a thug and a police inspector – who are in dire need of money and whose stories interlink when a bag of stolen money worth €3.5 million pops up.

“This is a turbulent world. In order to survive, people have no choice but play the game. No matter how hard you try to follow the rules, sooner or later, a part of you will be lost,” Mr To was quoted as saying about his new film.
