Updated: Drugs suspect arrested after crashing into police car
A 29-year-old man from Sta Lucija was arrested this morning during a raid by the Police Drug Squad in Sta Lucija.
Sources said 40grams of heroin, some cannabis resin, more than 4,000 euros and items used in trafficking were seized from the man's residence during the raid, near the Chinese Garden.
The man had been in a car when the police surprised him. He tried to drive off but crashed into a police car which blocked the road.
Investigations are being conducted by Inspector J. Fenech.
An inquiry is being held.

Congratulations for a job well done to the police, keep up the good work. in spite of lack of support from the Law Court. The Law CCCourts should use these persons to give an example to other criminals and should always be on the police side.
Not allow such persons to be out on our roads free after no even having done the courts sentence and some would also have other crimes pending, shame for our Law Courts.
Well done to our Police Force!

Il-pulizija haqqhom min jinzalhom il-kappell, ghax jahdmu fis-skiet u jaqbdu l-kriminali u jnehhu l-velenu mit-toroq taghna. Il-problema hi li waqt li dawn jaghmlu xoghlhom, min bi skuza u min b'ohra mill-Qorti hemm min jehlisha hafif. Min ibiegh id-droga ghandu jiehu pieni iktar horox, u jikkonfiskawlu l-propjeta skont l-ammont li jkun gie kkundannat.

Naqbel mieġħek perfettament . Nies bħal dawn li tinstabilhom ċertu kwantita' ta' droga imisshom quddiem il-Qorti ma' jkollom dritt ta' xejn, ħlief tal-avukat

This is only the small fry.....where are the big fish? Would it be correct to assume that the powers that be have an inkling of who these persons might be but for political reasons do not make the required move?
Congratulations for a job well done....keep up the good work in spite of lack of support from the Law Courts.

Well done, Drugs Squad!
Now it is hoped he will be sentenced and go to prison.
He will present a good conduct and two-thirds of his consequence will be forgiven.
I just cannot understand.
