A group of former Sea Malta employees, who were made redundant on the company's closure, yesterday filed a judicial letter in the First Hall of the Civil Court urging the liquidators to demand legal action against the former board members.

The ex-employees claimed that the former directors or, at least, a few of them had known that the company was in a precarious situation well before the date Sea Malta was wound down, last December.

Despite this fact, they said, the directors did not do anything about the matter, as they were bound to do by law, to the detriment of the creditors including the same former employees.

The judicial letter gave the creditors a week to proceed against the former board members or face legal consequences.
