The 24th edition of the Gozo Observer has just been published. The issue contains a number of interesting articles relating to Gozo.

The genesis of tertiary education in Gozo is portrayed in an article by Fr Joseph Bezzina while Parliamentary Secretary Chris Said presents an insight into the issue of linking Gozo and Malta permanently in an article entitled ‘It’s time to be bold and ambitious’.

John Borg describes the endangered mollusc restricted to the Munxar area in an article entitled ‘Mamo’s door-snail’, whileJoelene Attard and Anthony Briffa give a summary of a survey by the Gozo University Group (GUG) in an article entitled ‘GUG – Gozitans’ Voice at University’.

Joe Attard writes on the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ġużè Aquilina, and Caroline Camilleri Rolls describes how two former University Gozo Centre students have gone even further in their studies and obtained their Ph.D.

The edition also features two book reviews – Joseph Calleja reviews the book Salvu Attard. Il-Maġistrat tal-Qala 1886-1972 by Michael Refalo, while Fr Geoffrey Attard reviews Nidħol ħdejn l-altar ta’ Alla by Francesco Pio Attard.

Gozo Campus administrator Joseph Calleja also talks about the extra-curricular activites held at the campus between January and June.
