Lija fireworks enthusiasts were yesterday labouring away to prepare the launch site for tonight’s fireworks display to celebrate the feast of the Transfiguration of Christ the Saviour. Despite being a reduced programme because of problems that cropped up between the St Michael’s Fireworks Factory and its former licensee, which have now been resolved, the non-stop aerial display will be held between 7 and 10.30 p.m.
