Zapater: Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow signed Spanish midfielder Alberto Zapater from Sporting Lisbon. The 26-year-old started his career with Zaragoza in 2004. In 2009 he was signed by Genoa be-fore joining Sporting a year later.
Del Horno: Levante have signed free-agent defender Asier del Horno on a one-year deal. The 30-year-old left-back spent last season on loan at Levante from Valencia but his contract was cancelled on his return to the Mestalla earlier this summer.
Nagatomo: Japan and Inter full-back Yuto Nagatomo decided yesterday not to have surgery on a dislocated right shoulder and will instead return to Italy. Nagatomo dislocated his shoulder on Saturday in a friendly in Dublin against Celtic and headed home to see a specialist after undergoing tests in Milan. He will now undergo rehabilitation under Inter’s team doctor.
Handanovic: Slovenia keeper Samir Handanovic has extended his contract with Udinese for a further four years. The 27-year-old’s last deal was due to expire at the end of the coming season but he is now tied down until June 2016. He joined Udinese in 2004.
Bartley: Young centre-back Kyle Bartley has signed a new contract with Arsenal. Reports said the 20-year-old has signed a two-year extension that will keep him in north London until 2014. Bartley had spells on loan with Sheffield United and then Rangers last season, making 32 appearances overall.
